New Responsible Cat Ownership Laws Now In Effect

The Western Australian State Government passed the new Cat Act 2011 on the 9th of November 2011. The new law  gives local government the power to administer and enforce the new legislation and is designed to-

  • provide for the control and management of cats; and
  • promote and encourage the responsible ownership of cats
